This mountaintop wedding was so beautiful and so much fun! Colorado is a state known for its mountains and ski resorts, but a lot of people don’t think of having a resort wedding in the off season! It was so cool to be at Powderhorn when there wasn’t any snow, because it was total desert vibes on the way up. Erin + Christian are such a super sweet couple, and their Powderhorn Mountain wedding was such an amazing day!
Erin got ready with her mom and bridal party the morning of, and it was such a fun, relaxed vibe. She slipped into her gorgeous dress and we headed up to meet Christian for their first look.
They held hands tight while they stood back to back, and when I told them to turn it was SO great to see Christian take her in! I gave them a bit of time alone, and then took portraits of the two of them before we rode the chair lift up to the resort.
The ceremony site was set with mountains as the backdrop, and it was simple but stunning! Christian teared up when he saw Erin coming down the aisle. It was so touching, because he had already seen her during their first look, but got emotional seeing her again as she walked toward him. The ceremony was sunlit and sweet, and we took more bride and groom photos before the reception.
Erin + Christian were so into each other during their first dance together as husband and wife. They laughed and had fun during their dances with their parents, and spent the rest of the night partying with their guests. I always love when a couple can be themselves and have fun on their wedding day, and this was no exception. I’m so glad they trusted me to capture a small piece of their history together, and I can’t wait to send off the rest of their beautiful images! Erin + Christian – congratulations + all the best! xoxo
