Nikki contacted me awhile back to secure a date on my books because her soon-to-be hubby and her were moving to GERMANY in April, and they wanted portraits together to document their engagement and time in Colorado. I was so honored they found me and that they trusted me to preserve those moments for them.
I took them to one of my favorite spots, and I am not lying when I say it was SO slick and muddy. Like, we were all trying not to fall. But they trusted me and knew the views were amazing up here, and that the light was too. So, I got them all snuggled up together to forget about the cold. I had them walking (carefully, not to slip because I’d be catching that on camera), had them dancing and had them running together, once I got them to dry ground.
The gorgeous flowers were by Dawn at Exquisite Design in New Castle, and I love that Nikki picked those out with her! They were the perfect touch! When Nikki pulled out her beautifully bedazzled heels, I had the perfect gray rhinestone dress that I was juts itching to photograph, and it complemented her look so well! But honestly, no look was better than when she pulled out her American flag crocs. Of course I had to document that, too!
All in all, I’m so grateful to have met this couple and to have given them these photos. They are so in love and it radiates through all of these photos! When I told Nikki how much I adored her beautiful tattoos, she told me that it started because she got a new one for all the places they’ve lived and I can’t wait to see what she does with the move to Germany! I love couples who put their all into an experience with me, and I’m grateful they were one of them. Here’s to Nikki + CJ taking on the world!
